Skin overview

Even the most worn grade of Phoenix Marker keeps a fair share of its blue and purple graffiti, since the skin does not go to the very end of the wear scale. In Battle-Scarred the muzzle, top rail, cylinder and protruding edges are heavily rubbed, and the pattern looks faded and patchy. It is the cheapest way to carry this cold-coloured graffiti look.

Item type: pistol. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The whole metal body of the revolver is covered in overlapping graffiti tags in royal blue, violet and pale cyan with thin dark outlines. The pattern runs over the barrel shroud and its top rail, the underbarrel lug, the frame, the cylinder and the hammer without breaks, so the gun looks wrapped in one continuous spray-painted surface.

Heavy wear covers the muzzle, rail, cylinder and the front of the barrel, with the tags faded and patchy there. The barrel shroud and frame edges are rubbed as well. Since the skin stops short of the end of the wear scale, a good part of the pattern still survives. Colour holds best on the middle of the frame sides.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.6

The whole float range of Souvenir R8 Revolver | Phoenix Marker is 0–0.6; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.6 segment (25% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir R8 Revolver | Phoenix Marker belongs to The Havoc Collection, which holds 19 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 4 skins of the R8 Revolver in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in blue, purple, cyan or holographic finishes blend with the graffiti tags, while white or black stickers give a clean contrast. Graffiti-style or Phoenix-themed designs fit the skin's idea well, and placing them on the frame side keeps them visible in the player's view.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, as the muzzle and top rail show the difference first.
  • Inspect the cylinder flutes and the front of the frame for bare metal on worn copies.
  • The pattern is random graffiti, so compare a few copies if you want a particular tag arrangement on the visible side.
  • For Souvenir copies, check which stickers are already applied and whether they fit the blue-purple palette.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget buyers who want this graffiti skin on the R8 at minimal cost.
  • Players who use the revolver rarely and mainly want some colour on it.
  • The entry point into the skin, with more pattern left than the grade name suggests.
