Skin overview

Zander dresses the Sawed-Off in olive, dark stripes and brown wood tones inspired by a game fish. In Battle-Scarred the receiver is heavily scuffed, the stripes are broken up and bare metal shows along the edges. The dark barrel hides wear better than the rest of the gun, and this is the most rugged way to own the skin.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver carries the main artwork: an olive-green field that darkens toward the top, crossed by dark vertical bars like the stripes on a fish's side. The barrel and magazine tube are dark gunmetal and end in a greenish-gold muzzle cap, and the trigger guard picks up the same olive-gold tone.

Wear covers most of the receiver: the stripes are fragmentary and bare metal shows along the edges and around the trigger area. The muzzle cap, pump ridges and stock edges are heavily rubbed. In game the gun looks rough and only the general olive-and-brown scheme hints at the pattern. The barrel stays the darkest and most even part.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir Sawed-Off | Zander is 0.05–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (58% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Spectrum Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Spectrum Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Olive, green, brown, gold and black stickers match the natural palette of the receiver and the wood-toned furniture. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver keeps them clear of the stripe pattern's edges, while bright neon colours tend to clash with the muted scheme.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within its wear range, as copies at the clean end of a grade look noticeably better than those at the worn end.
  • Inspect the receiver edges and the muzzle cap, since they lose paint first and decide how clean the gun looks.
  • Look at applied stickers and name tags, and decide between regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir copies, since all three exist.
  • Make sure the dark stripes on the receiver are still distinct if the fish motif is the reason you are buying.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players looking for the simplest entry to this skin.
  • Those who like a rough, heavily used shotgun with only hints of the pattern.
  • The most accessible version for pure play.
