Skin overview

The appeal of Barricade lies in its dense maze stencil, and in Minimal Wear that pattern is still essentially intact. Any marks are small and sit on edges, where the dark, busy pattern hides them well. For most buyers this grade looks the same as a fresh copy in normal play.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The finish wraps the handguard, receiver, magazine, pistol grip and stock in a dense isometric maze of thin grey-green lines over a dark slate base. On the long handguard and receiver the labyrinth runs in angled, interlocking bands, while the magazine and grip carry tighter fragments of the same pattern.

Light specks of paint loss may appear on the front edge of the handguard and the bottom edges of the magazine. The flat panels of the receiver and stock remain untouched. At normal viewing distance these marks blend into the busy pattern and are hard to spot. The overall look stays close to a fresh copy.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Barricade is 0–0.65; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Norse Collection with 18 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Muted greens, greys, black or holo stickers with cool tones match the dark maze without breaking its geometry. A single bright accent, such as a white or teal sticker on the receiver, stands out well against the low-contrast pattern. Keep busy multicolour stickers to a minimum so the labyrinth stays readable.

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the edges of the handguard and magazine show the difference first.
• Look at the scope housing and stock rear in the inspect view, as these parts reveal wear that the dense pattern hides elsewhere.
• Souvenir copies come with their own stickers, so check whether they suit the grey-green maze before buying.
• Note any stickers or name tag on regular copies, because they change how the low-contrast finish looks.
