Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred is the most affordable way to get the Darkwing scheme of black front and red feathered rear. Large patches of paint are worn away on the red parts, and bare metal shows through on edges and raised details. The red tone still dominates the lower half, so the rifle remains identifiable as Darkwing, just heavily weathered.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The barrel, handguard rails and the upper part of the receiver are dark grey to black, and the scope is black as well. Toward the rear the receiver fades into red through flame-like feather edges, and the lower receiver, magazine, pistol grip and stock are painted deep red.
Heavy paint loss covers the magazine, grip and stock, and bare metal is visible on most edges. The dark front half turns patchy grey along the rails and barrel. Much of the feather artwork is worn away, leaving mainly the red base. In game the rifle reads as a weathered red-and-black SG 553.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The float of Souvenir SG 553 | Darkwing ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Prisma 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Prisma 2 Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Black, red and gold stickers fit the scheme best, especially on the dark handguard where they do not cover the feather artwork. Holo or foil stickers in red tones work well near the transition from black to red on the receiver.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within its wear grade, since a low float in Field-Tested looks much cleaner than a high one.
- Inspect the magazine edges, grip bottom and stock corners, where the red paint wears first.
- Look at the feather lines on the magazine to see how much of the artwork is still sharp.
- Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether they fit the red-and-black scheme.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Budget entry for players who want the skin on their loadout.
- Fans of heavily weathered finishes with exposed metal.
- Conclusion: the cheapest way to own Darkwing, with a rough look.
