Skin overview

SG 553 | Hypnotic covers the rifle in black concentric rings over a pale pearl base, so the stripes seem to spiral out from the receiver. In Factory New the pearl coat keeps its soft sheen and the black lines stay sharp to their very edges. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the optical effect exactly as designed.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver carries the centre of the pattern: black rings spread outward from it over the pearl base and run onto the magazine well and the pistol grip area. The ribbed handguard and the rails are finished in a muted grey-pearl tone with darker accents in the recesses.

A Factory New copy shows no visible wear anywhere on the rifle. The pearl base keeps an even sheen, and the black rings have crisp borders on the receiver, the grip and the stock. In game the pattern reads as a clean, high-contrast spiral at any distance. Lower floats differ from higher ones only on close inspection.

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Hypnotic is 0–0.08; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (88% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Havoc Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, white, silver and holographic stickers keep the monochrome scheme intact. Placing them on the handguard or the stock leaves the ring pattern on the receiver visible, while a single bright accent sticker can work as a deliberate contrast.
