Souvenir SG 553 | Ultraviolet (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Ultraviolet turns most of the SG 553 purple, leaving the receiver and magazine dark grey. In Field-Tested the colour is still strong at a glance, but chips on the handguard ridges and scope edges start to show grey metal. The two-tone silhouette stays clear in game.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The handguard with its long ribbed rails, the barrel, front sight and the scope are painted solid purple. The receiver and the magazine stay dark grey to black, which splits the rifle into two clear colour zones.

Chips spread along the handguard ridges and appear on the scope rims and muzzle, revealing grey metal. The stock edges start to show light scuffs. In game the purple still reads strongly, with damage visible mainly when inspecting the weapon. The grip and the flat sides of the stock stay mostly clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir SG 553 | Ultraviolet ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 31% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Purple, violet and holographic stickers blend with the colour scheme, while black, silver or white ones contrast well on the dark receiver. Placing stickers on the grey middle section keeps them readable against the purple ends.

What to check before buying

• On a flat solid-colour finish every chip is visible, so check the float position within the wear range rather than the grade alone.
• Inspect the handguard rail ridges, scope rims and muzzle, since these lose paint first.
• Note that the Factory New band for this skin is very narrow, so compare it carefully with low Minimal Wear copies.
• Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they strongly change the look of such a plain finish.

• Players who want the purple and black look in game and do not inspect the rifle closely.
• Buyers after a bright terrorist-side rifle skin without paying for a clean grade.
• The practical everyday option for this finish.
