Skin overview

Dark Water is a restrained finish for the SSG 08: grey and charcoal tones that shift with the light instead of bright colours. In Field-Tested the reflective chrome is duller in places and the edges show visible scuffs. The striped water motif remains readable, and the darker look suits the skin's theme.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver and handguard carry the aquatic-stripe pattern: flowing bands of charcoal metallic paint with different levels of shine over a chrome base coat. The long barrel and muzzle brake are mostly dark, close to black, while the scope stays in matching dark grey tones.

Scuffs spread along the receiver edges, the rail and the raised parts of the stock, and the chrome looks duller there. The stripe pattern is still clear on the flat surfaces of the handguard and receiver. In game the rifle reads as dark and slightly matte rather than reflective. Copies near the cleaner end of this grade look close to Minimal Wear, while those near the top show more worn edges.
