Souvenir SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

This SSG 08 skin is recognisable by its white handguard and stock pad set against a dark receiver, with frosted blue accents spread across the rifle. In Field-Tested the white parts start to show grey scuffs and the edges lose some paint, yet the overall colour scheme still reads clearly. The light areas take on a slightly used look that some players prefer.

Item type: sniper rifle. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver is dark with white inserts, including a ribbed white section on the handguard and a white panel near the bolt, plus a small red accent on the side. The long barrel carries a frosted, marbled blue texture that ends at a white muzzle brake, and the bipod legs share the same icy blue finish.

The muzzle brake, barrel edges and handguard ribs show visible scuffs, and the white areas pick up a light grey tint. The cheek rest and grip start to lose some of the blue texture at their edges. At normal distance the colour scheme reads clearly, while the receiver centre and flat stock surfaces still look fairly clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

White, silver, ice blue and holographic stickers match the cold palette, and a single red accent can echo the small red mark on the receiver. Placements on the white handguard section or the dark receiver give the clearest contrast.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the white panels show grey scuffs earlier than the dark parts.
• Inspect the muzzle brake and handguard ribs, as these are the first places to lose paint.
• Look at the grip and cheek rest to see how much of the blue texture is intact.
• On StatTrak™ or Souvenir copies, check the stickers and any name tag for how they fit the white and blue scheme.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who want the recognisable colour scheme for everyday matches.
• Buyers who like a slightly used look on light finishes.
• A practical middle choice for regular play.
