Souvenir SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader (Battle-Scarred)

Skin overview

The Battle-Scarred version of SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader turns the clean white and blue scheme into a heavily weathered one. The white parts are greyed and chipped through to bare metal along the edges, and the frosted blue texture survives mostly in recessed areas. It suits a player who wants the skin's colours at the lowest entry point and does not mind a battered look.

Item type: sniper rifle. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is dark with white inserts, including a ribbed white section on the handguard and a white panel near the bolt, plus a small red accent on the side. The long barrel carries a frosted, marbled blue texture that ends at a white muzzle brake, and the bipod legs share the same icy blue finish.

Heavy wear covers the muzzle brake, barrel, handguard and stock, with large patches of paint gone along every edge. The white parts look grey and patchy, and the blue texture remains mostly in recessed areas. At normal distance the rifle looks weathered overall, with only the flat central surfaces holding some of the original colours.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Chroma 3 Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Chroma 3 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

White, silver, ice blue and holographic stickers match the cold palette, and a single red accent can echo the small red mark on the receiver. Placements on the white handguard section or the dark receiver give the clearest contrast.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the white panels show grey scuffs earlier than the dark parts.
• Inspect the muzzle brake and handguard ribs, as these are the first places to lose paint.
• Look at the grip and cheek rest to see how much of the blue texture is intact.
• On StatTrak™ or Souvenir copies, check the stickers and any name tag for how they fit the white and blue scheme.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

• Players looking for the lowest entry into this skin.
• Those who prefer a heavily weathered rifle.
• The choice when cost matters more than clean paint.
