Skin overview

Prey turns the SSG 08 into a striped hunting rifle in rust and pale grey tones, with the dark barrel left almost untouched. At Minimal Wear the look is nearly identical to a fresh copy, with only small scuffs on edges that are hard to notice in game. It is a sensible pick for anyone who wants a clean rifle without paying for the top grade.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The finish uses a reddish-brown rust base with irregular pale grey and darker zebra-like stripes. The stripes run across the long handguard, the receiver, the scope body and the skeletal stock, including the cheek rest and grip.

Tiny scuffs may appear on the sharpest edges of the handguard and the scope rings. The stripes and base colour remain fully intact on flat surfaces. At normal distance it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The stock and receiver panels still look clean.
