Souvenir SSG 08 | Green Ceramic (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Green Ceramic turns the SSG 08 into a field-coloured rifle made of layered greens. In Field-Tested the paint starts to chip along edges, which gives the plain finish a used, working look. For a solid-colour skin this wear often reads as natural rather than damaged.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver and long handguard with its cut-outs and top rail are painted medium green, while the stock frame takes a slightly darker green. The scope tube and its rings are olive and khaki, and the pistol grip, cheek rest and butt pad are a pale sage tone.

Chips become visible along the handguard edges, the rail and the scope bells. The grip and the corners of the stock frame start to show light scuffs. In game the wear is noticeable on the handguard but the overall green scheme stays intact. The flat sides of the receiver and stock are still mostly clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir SSG 08 | Green Ceramic ranges from 0 to 0.75; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 31% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Boreal Collection with 29 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Among 8 skins of the SSG 08 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, cream and earthy brown stickers sit well against the green handguard and keep the calm military feel. Placements on the flat sides of the handguard and receiver are most visible. Bright red or orange accents give a strong contrast for those who want a bolder craft.

What to look at before you buy

• Since the finish has no pattern, the float value is the main thing that separates one copy from another.
• Look at the handguard edges, the top rail and the scope bells, as these chip first.
• On Souvenir copies check the applied stickers, since they change the look of the plain green body.
• A name tag can add character to such a simple finish, so check whether one is present.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who like a used, working rifle look.
• Budget buyers who still want the green scheme readable.
• Conclusion: a balanced choice between price and appearance.
