Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred Red Stone shows the maroon paint heavily worn, with grey metal visible across many edges and flat surfaces of the chassis. Because the float range stops short of the heaviest wear, the red still covers a large part of the rifle. It is the most weathered take on this simple finish.
Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.
Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The receiver and the long chassis that runs under the barrel are painted in a solid maroon red, with milled slots and a short rail section left in a darker tone. The barrel and muzzle brake stay dark, while the scope is finished in a sand or tan colour that contrasts with the red body.
Large areas of grey metal show across the chassis edges, receiver and flat panels. The paint on the body is the most broken it gets for this skin, but the limited float range keeps a fair share of red in place. At normal distance the rifle looks weathered and two-toned, red and grey. Recessed areas hold their colour longest.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.5
The float of Souvenir SSG 08 | Red Stone ranges from 0.06 to 0.5; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.5 — 11% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Norse Collection with 18 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in gold, tan, brown or cream tie in with the scope and stock and sit well on the maroon chassis. Dark or black stickers placed along the chassis keep the restrained look, while a single bright red sticker can be lost against the paint.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since paint loss on the chassis edges grows noticeably across each range.
- Inspect the edges of the chassis and the top of the receiver, as these lose paint first on this solid finish.
- Pattern placement has little effect on a solid colour, so focus on float and overall wear rather than seed.
- Check whether the copy is a Souvenir and whether it carries stickers or a name tag that you want or do not want.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players who want the cheapest way to put this colour on their rifle.
- Fans of heavily weathered red and grey finishes.
- Conclusion: the most worn and most budget-friendly Red Stone.
