Skin overview

This finish was grey and understated from the start, so a worn copy does not lose a bright colour scheme, it simply looks more used. In Well-Worn the silver gloss is dulled in places and the line art breaks up around edges, grip and scope, while the general comic pattern is still recognisable. It suits players who like a weathered, field-used rifle.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The handguard, receiver and stock carry a grayscale hydrographic pattern of comic-style panels and line work, with some elements picked out in high-gloss silver paint. The scope body and mount use the same print, while the barrel and muzzle brake stay dark and plain.

The line work breaks up on the handguard rails, scope body, receiver top and grip, and the silver gloss is dull across most accents. Scuffs begin to reach the edges of the stock. In game the rifle looks clearly used, though the comic theme is still recognisable. The larger flat panels on the sides keep much of the print.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir SSG 08 | Sans Comic is 0–0.5; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (14% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir SSG 08 | Sans Comic belongs to The Achroma Collection, which holds 20 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, white, silver and holo stickers continue the monochrome comic look, while a single red sticker echoes the red recording light from the description. The flat sides of the handguard and receiver give the best surface for a clean row.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep noticeably more silver gloss.
• Look at the handguard rails, scope rings and grip in the inspect view, as these parts lose the print first.
• On Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and whether they fit the grayscale artwork.
• If there is a name tag, make sure it suits the item, because it cannot be removed without losing it.
