Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the most weathered grade of Tec-9 | Brother. Large parts of the gold layer are worn down to metal, and the camo remains only in patches. The look fits a gritty Terrorist theme and costs the least to get into this design.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is painted gold-ochre with brown camo patches and engraved lettering on the side. The barrel shroud and top rail are black, the shroud perforated with round holes along its length.

Large areas of the receiver are worn to metal, and the camo survives only in fragments. The agent face and magazine bands are heavily faded. In game the pistol reads as dark and weathered, with gold showing in broken patches. Only recessed areas hold noticeable original paint.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1

The float of Souvenir Tec-9 | Brother ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Fracture Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Fracture Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, brown and black stickers blend with the camo, and red accents echo the magazine bands. Placements on the gold receiver side stand out best against the warm base.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float keeps the receiver edges noticeably cleaner.
  • Look at the agent face under the rear sight, as it is one of the first details to lose clarity.
  • Inspect the trigger guard, grip ridges and magazine base, which wear first on this finish.
  • Review any applied stickers and name tag to make sure they suit your taste.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
