Souvenir Tec-9 | Slag (Factory New)

Skin overview

Tec-9 | Slag gives the pistol a rough, home-built look: a dark scorched barrel shroud over a pale grey receiver, grip and magazine. In Factory New the light textured paint is even and clean, and the contrast between the dark front and the pale body is at its sharpest.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The barrel shroud with its round cut-outs is painted dark brown to near black, with scratched, scorched-metal tones and light streaks along the top. The receiver and grip are covered in a pale grey finish with a fine woven, almost fabric-like texture that matches the handmade theme described in the item text.

The grey texture on the receiver, grip and magazine is uniform, with no breaks in the paint. The dark shroud shows only the scratches that are part of the design itself. In game the gun looks crisp, with a clear line between the dark front and the light body.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The float of Souvenir Tec-9 | Slag ranges from 0 to 0.9; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 8% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Kilowatt Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Kilowatt Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Dark, rusty or brown stickers echo the barrel shroud and blend with the industrial theme. Muted metallic or paper-style stickers on the pale receiver keep the improvised look, while bright colours will dominate the gun.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the pale receiver shows wear sooner than the dark shroud.
• Look at the receiver edges and magazine corners on the inspect screen, as these parts lose paint first.
• Check the condition and placement of any applied stickers, because they stand out strongly on the light grey body.
• Note whether the copy has a name tag or a StatTrak™ counter if that matters to you.

Who should buy Factory New

• Players who want the cleanest contrast between the dark shroud and pale body.
• Collectors who keep each skin in its best condition.
• Conclusion: the choice for a spotless version of the handmade look.
