Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the most weathered version of this steel finish, with a dull, uneven slide and heavy scuffing across the silencer. The silhouette and dark grip still read as a plain USP-S in game. This grade is the cheapest way to get the Stainless name on a pistol.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The slide is finished in a dark stainless steel tone with a soft metallic sheen and fine markings along its side. The silencer is a long dark tube with a slightly lighter, reflective surface that catches highlights along its length.

The slide is dull and uneven across its whole surface, with heavy wear on edges and sights. The silencer is scuffed along most of its length. In game the pistol looks rough and weathered, though still dark and plain. Only the grip and lower frame stay relatively intact.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of Souvenir USP-S | Stainless is 0–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (44% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Arms Deal 3 Collection with 12 skins in total.

The source is CS:GO Weapon Case 3 (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

What it costs in each quality

By price this skin is 3rd of 9 skins Mil-Spec Grade USP-S in this quality (the first being the dearest).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

The neutral steel and black scheme takes almost any sticker, but gold, silver and holo stickers match the metal best. A single sticker on the slide side stands out cleanly against the plain finish.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since low floats in each grade keep the slide edges cleaner.
  • Inspect the slide edges and silencer front, as these lose their polish first.
  • Pattern does not change the look of this finish, so you do not need to pay extra for a pattern.
  • Check stickers, the name tag and whether you want the StatTrak™ or Souvenir variant.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget players who want any skin on their USP-S.
  • Fans of rough, weathered finishes.
  • Conclusion: the cheapest entry to the Stainless finish.
