Skin overview

Black Site in Battle-Scarred keeps the dark grey base but carries heavy chipping across the edges and raised parts. The bronze accents are largely worn away, and bare metal shows through on the barrel, receiver and stock. It is the most rugged look of the finish and the most accessible way to own it.

Item type: shotgun. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The barrel and the magazine tube are covered in matte charcoal grey, with the tube ending in a bronze-copper muzzle cap that stands out against the dark metal. The forend and receiver carry the same dark finish, divided by thin lighter grey panel lines that outline the ribbed grip area and the side plates.

Heavy chipping covers the barrel, magazine tube, receiver edges and the stock, with bare metal showing through in many places. Most of the bronze colour on the cap, sight, rail and stock outline is gone. In game the weapon reads as rough and weathered, with the dark grey base still visible underneath. Only the flatter middle areas keep a fairly continuous coat.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir XM1014 | Black Site is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir XM1014 | Black Site belongs to The Spy Tech Collection, which holds 17 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 5 skins of the XM1014 in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Bronze, gold, copper and muted holo stickers echo the warm accents of the finish, while black and grey stickers keep the look monochrome. Placements along the dark receiver side work best, where the matte charcoal gives the sticker a clean background.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the muzzle cap and receiver edges show the difference first.
  • Look at the bronze accents on the muzzle, sight and stock, as their colour fades noticeably on more worn copies.
  • Find out whether the copy is a Souvenir and which stickers are applied to it.
  • Check any name tag and applied stickers in inspect so they fit the dark, restrained finish.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget buyers looking for the cheapest entry to this finish.
  • Players who enjoy a rough, weathered shotgun with bare metal showing.
  • The most accessible and most rugged version of Black Site.
