Skin overview

This is a plain, work-like finish: dark grey metal, a pale grip and a few bronze highlights. Well-Worn copies show noticeable scuffing on the muzzle, the forend ridges and the stock outline, and the bronze parts lose part of their colour. The shotgun looks like a tool that has been used, without losing its basic scheme.

Item type: shotgun. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The barrel and the magazine tube are covered in matte charcoal grey, with the tube ending in a bronze-copper muzzle cap that stands out against the dark metal. The forend and receiver carry the same dark finish, divided by thin lighter grey panel lines that outline the ribbed grip area and the side plates.

Scuffing spreads from the edges onto larger areas of the forend, receiver and stock, and the bronze accents are noticeably faded. Bare metal shows at the muzzle and on raised details. In game the shotgun looks clearly used, though the dark base and panel layout are still easy to read. The centre of the receiver sides and the grip hold up better than the edges.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir XM1014 | Black Site is 0–1; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (7% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir XM1014 | Black Site belongs to The Spy Tech Collection, which holds 17 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 5 skins of the XM1014 in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Bronze, gold, copper and muted holo stickers echo the warm accents of the finish, while black and grey stickers keep the look monochrome. Placements along the dark receiver side work best, where the matte charcoal gives the sticker a clean background.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the muzzle cap and receiver edges show the difference first.
  • Look at the bronze accents on the muzzle, sight and stock, as their colour fades noticeably on more worn copies.
  • Find out whether the copy is a Souvenir and which stickers are applied to it.
  • Check any name tag and applied stickers in inspect so they fit the dark, restrained finish.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Players who prefer a weapon that looks worked-in.
  • Budget-minded buyers who still want the bronze accents partly visible.
  • A good option for a worn look without the heaviest damage.
