Skin overview

This XM1014 is recognisable by its golden, tattoo-style snake ornament set against a dark, almost black barrel and tube. In Field-Tested the gold starts to lose its sharpness on edges and raised parts, but the motif is still easy to read in game. A practical middle ground for players who want the theme without paying for a clean copy.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver carries the main artwork: a gold-coloured base covered with dense, engraving-like swirls and a snake drawn in the Irezumi tattoo manner. The barrel and magazine tube are dark, close to black, with ribbed sections, while the tube cap and the area near the front sling mount are a pale cream tone.

Wear becomes visible along the receiver edges, the pump ribs and the stock panel border, where the gold thins and the fine lines soften. The pale grip and tube cap start to show light scratches. In game the snake motif is still readable, though less detailed up close. The centre of the receiver artwork usually holds up best.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir XM1014 | Irezumi is 0–0.799; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (29% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, black, cream and muted red stickers match the tattoo-style palette best. Placing them on the dark barrel or tube keeps the receiver ornament visible, while a single gold or holo sticker can complement the engraved look.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the gold base changes noticeably between low and high values of the same grade.
  • Inspect the receiver edges and the stock panel corners, as these lose the gold and linework first.
  • Look at the pale cream grip and tube cap for scuffs, which stand out against the light colour.
  • Note any stickers or name tag, since bright stickers can cover or clash with the receiver ornament.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the gold snake theme for everyday use.
  • Buyers looking for a balance between appearance and cost.
  • A solid all-round option for regular play.
