SSG 08 | Lichen Dashed is a Consumer Grade sniper rifle finish with green and olive paint laid in short dashes, as if sprayed through strips of tape. In Factory New the dashes keep crisp edges and the layered greens look fresh and even across the receiver, scope and stock. It is the cleanest way to see the stencil pattern as it was intended.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver, handguard, scope, pistol grip and skeleton stock are covered in an olive base with short dark green and lighter green dashes, plus a few greyish patches that give a lichen-like texture. The long barrel and muzzle brake stay in dark grey metal, and the bipod legs are mostly grey with some camouflage on the mount. The scope tube and its rings carry the same dashed pattern, so the green reads continuously along the top of the rifle. On worn copies the paint first leaves the edges of the handguard, the scope rings and caps, the stock frame and the grip, exposing grey metal beneath.

The paint is intact on every coated part, with sharp dash edges and no exposed metal. The scope, handguard and stock look uniformly green. In game at normal distance the rifle reads as a clean, solid camouflage. Only the dark barrel stands apart, as it does in every wear.
