Skin overview

Lichen Dashed is a plain field camouflage: dashed green paint over olive, applied with tape stencils, on a dark-barrelled SSG 08. In Field-Tested the paint starts to break on edges and contact points, and bits of grey metal show through, which suits the rough spray-paint style. The pattern stays readable while the rifle takes on a used, practical look.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, handguard, scope, pistol grip and skeleton stock are covered in an olive base with short dark green and lighter green dashes, plus a few greyish patches that give a lichen-like texture. The long barrel and muzzle brake stay in dark grey metal, and the bipod legs are mostly grey with some camouflage on the mount.

Wear becomes visible on the scope rings and caps, the handguard edges and the outline of the skeleton stock, where grey metal shows through. The grip may show light rubbing. In game the rifle still reads green, with slight patchiness near the scope. The flat sides of the receiver and handguard mostly keep the pattern.

Souvenir version

Stickers and crafts

Olive, khaki, black and muted green stickers blend with the camouflage, while a single orange or yellow sticker gives a clear accent. Placements on the flat sides of the handguard and receiver show up best against the dashed pattern.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show less chipping on the scope and stock.
  • Look at the scope rings and handguard edges in the inspect view, as these lose paint first.
  • Check whether the copy is a Souvenir and whether its stickers suit you, because they come already applied.
  • Look at any stickers or name tag on regular copies, since they affect the look more than the simple pattern does.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who like a used field rifle look that matches the spray-paint style.
  • Budget buyers who want readable camouflage without paying for a clean grade.
  • In short: a practical everyday SSG 08.
