SSG 08 | Orange Filigree is a hydrographic finish with a dense orange millefleur pattern over a rust-brown base on the body of the rifle. In Factory New the small floral shapes stay crisp and the edges of the handguard and grip are fully covered. This is the grade for buyers who want the pattern exactly as it was printed.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver, handguard and pistol grip are covered by a rust-brown base with a dense pattern of small orange floral shapes, broken by darker grey-green patches. The same print continues onto the scope rings, part of the scope body and the cheek rest, while the barrel, muzzle brake, bipod and rear stock plate remain dark grey metal. The vented handguard shows the pattern around its slots, which adds texture along the side. On worn copies the print first disappears from the edges of the handguard, the top of the cheek rest, the scope rings and the front of the grip, revealing grey metal underneath.

The print is complete on every patterned part, including the slot edges of the handguard and the scope rings. The orange floral shapes have sharp outlines and even colour. In game the rifle shows a uniform warm pattern with no grey spots. Everything looks clean.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of SSG 08 | Orange Filigree is 0–0.5; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (14% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

SSG 08 | Orange Filigree belongs to The Canals Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Which stickers suit it

• Look at the handguard slot rims and the top of the cheek rest, as these lose the print first.
