Skin overview

The rifle carries a warm orange-and-brown floral print that turns the receiver, handguard and grip into one patterned surface against a dark barrel. Minimal Wear keeps that impression intact, with only faint marks on the outermost edges. At normal distance it is hard to tell apart from a Factory New copy.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The receiver, handguard and pistol grip are covered by a rust-brown base with a dense pattern of small orange floral shapes, broken by darker grey-green patches. The same print continues onto the scope rings, part of the scope body and the cheek rest, while the barrel, muzzle brake, bipod and rear stock plate remain dark grey metal.

Tiny scuffs may appear on the sharpest edges, such as the handguard corners and the scope rings. They are only visible when inspecting closely. In game the pattern reads exactly like a clean copy. The receiver sides, grip and cheek rest stay untouched.

The whole float range of SSG 08 | Orange Filigree is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

SSG 08 | Orange Filigree belongs to The Canals Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in gold, brown, cream or dark tones sit naturally on the warm floral print, while bright blues and greens tend to fight it. Placements on the flat receiver side read best, because the patterned handguard already carries a lot of detail.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep the scope rings and handguard edges intact.
• Look at the handguard slot rims and the top of the cheek rest, as these lose the print first.
• Souvenir copies exist, so check whether the item has preset stickers and whether you want them.
• Inspect any applied stickers and name tag, because they can clash with the busy orange pattern.
