SSG 08 | Red Stone is a plain solid-colour finish: a deep maroon chassis paired with a sand-toned scope and a brown grip and stock. In Factory New the red paint is even and unbroken from the muzzle end of the chassis to the stock. This finish has a narrow Factory New band, so this grade is for buyers who want the colour at its cleanest.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver and the long chassis that runs under the barrel are painted in a solid maroon red, with milled slots and a short rail section left in a darker tone. The barrel and muzzle brake stay dark, while the scope is finished in a sand or tan colour that contrasts with the red body. The pistol grip and the cheek rest and butt of the skeleton stock are in a brown, wood-like tone, and the bipod and stock frame are grey. On worn copies the paint wears off first on the sharp edges of the chassis, the top of the receiver and other raised parts, exposing grey metal.

The maroon paint is uniform across the receiver and chassis with no visible chips. Edges and raised parts keep their full colour, and the scope and stock tones are clean. At normal distance in game the rifle reads as a smooth red block with tan and brown accents. Differences from Minimal Wear are minor and mostly visible only in the inspect view.

Factory New quality — float range 0.06–0.07
