Skin overview

Red Stone gives the SSG 08 a single maroon tone with earthy accents on the scope, grip and stock. In Field-Tested the paint starts to chip along the edges of the chassis, and the grey metal underneath shows through in small spots. The worn edges fit the finish's idea of a rifle that has seen use.

Item type: sniper rifle. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver and the long chassis that runs under the barrel are painted in a solid maroon red, with milled slots and a short rail section left in a darker tone. The barrel and muzzle brake stay dark, while the scope is finished in a sand or tan colour that contrasts with the red body.

Chips become visible along the chassis edges and on the raised parts of the receiver, showing grey metal underneath. Flat surfaces of the chassis still hold most of their paint. At normal distance the rifle reads as red with slightly worn outlines. Lower-float copies in this grade look noticeably cleaner than higher-float ones.
