SSG 08 | Zeno (Well-Worn)

Skin overview

This copy of Zeno trades the polished sheen for a weathered surface while keeping its pale tone and red marks. In Well-Worn the flake paint is broken up on the edges and the darker metal shows through in several places. The ZENO lettering and red diamonds are partly rubbed but still recognisable.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver and handguard carry a pale, grayscale metallic flake paint, with a red diamond pattern near the front of the handguard and ZENO lettering on the side of the receiver. The skeleton stock repeats the light base and adds red geometric accents near the butt, while the grip stays in a muted grey.

Large chips cover the handguard and stock edges, and darker metal shows on the raised parts of the receiver. The red diamonds and ZENO lettering are partly rubbed away. From normal distance the rifle looks noticeably weathered, though the colour scheme is still clear.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of SSG 08 | Zeno is 0–0.7; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Sport & Field Collection with 16 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Stickers and crafts

Red, white and silver or holographic stickers match the grayscale flake and red diamond accents. Placements on the light receiver area read best, while dark stickers can add contrast next to the lettering.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the pale base shows scuffs more clearly than darker finishes.
• Look at the handguard edges and stock corners in the inspect view, as these lose paint first.
• Make sure the red diamonds and ZENO lettering look the way you want, because they rub off on worn copies.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they fit the light colour scheme.
