StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Golden Koi (Factory New)

Skin overview

Desert Eagle | Golden Koi covers the pistol in a pale gold metallic foil pressed with an even pattern of fish scales. In Factory New the foil keeps its full sheen, and every scale outline stays sharp from the muzzle to the base of the grip. This is the grade for buyers who want the scale texture exactly as designed, with no breaks in the metallic surface.

Item type: pistol. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The whole pistol is wrapped in a light gold metallic foil with a muted, slightly greenish tint. A repeating pattern of rounded fish scales covers the long slide and barrel shroud, continues down the frame and fills the grip, where the scales are shaded to look raised.

The foil is uniform across the slide, frame and grip, with no visible scratches. The scale outlines stay crisp even on the muzzle edge and the slide serrations, the first areas to show wear on this finish. In game the pistol reads as a clean, evenly lit gold surface with a clear texture. Copies at the cleaner end of the range look flawless even under close inspection.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The whole float range of StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Golden Koi is 0–0.12; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (58% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Bravo Collection with 15 skins in total.

The source is Operation Bravo Case (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

What it costs in each quality

Among 4 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Covert grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 1.7× dearer than the regular one.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, holo-gold and warm metallic stickers blend with the foil and keep the look uniform. Red or black stickers give a strong contrast that suits the Chinatown theme. Placing them on the slide keeps them on the smooth, wide area of the scale pattern.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since low-float Minimal Wear copies look very close to Factory New.
• Inspect the muzzle edge, slide corners and serrations, where the foil shows the first scuffs.
• Look at any applied stickers and how their colours sit against the pale gold finish.
• Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version, as these are separate listings.

Who the Factory New quality suits

• Collectors who want the scale pattern and foil with no marks at all.
• Sticker crafters who need a clean metallic base under gold or red stickers.
• Players who inspect their pistol often and notice small scuffs.
• Conclusion: the choice for a spotless golden Desert Eagle.
