Show allAllSkin overview
The recognisable part of Hexane is its dense hexagon grid with red speckles, which turns the whole FAMAS into a dark, technical-looking surface. In Minimal Wear the difference from a factory copy is limited to faint marks on a few edges that are hard to spot in game. It gives almost the same look as the cleanest grade at a more modest step up from the lower wears.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The receiver, carry handle, handguard and magazine are covered in a dark slate-navy base with a continuous grid of thin steel-blue hexagon outlines, and many cells are filled with irregular dull red flecks. The pistol grip and trigger guard are left in a plain matte blue-grey, which separates the lower part of the rifle from the patterned body.
Small light marks can appear on the top edge of the carry handle and the corners of the magazine. The grid lines and red flecks across the receiver and handguard remain intact. At normal viewing distance in game it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The grip and stock look clean.
Minimal Wear quality ā float range 0.07ā0.15
The whole float range of StatTrak⢠FAMAS | Hexane is 0ā0.4; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07ā0.15 segment (20% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
StatTrak⢠FAMAS | Hexane belongs to The Arms Deal 2 Collection, which holds 12 skins.
It drops from CS:GO Weapon Case 2 (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).
What it costs in each quality
By price this skin is 2nd of 7 skins Mil-Spec Grade FAMAS in this quality (the first being the dearest).
StatTrak⢠version
This is the StatTrak⢠version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak⢠version is 49% dearer than the regular one.
Stickers and crafts
Red, crimson and dark blue stickers repeat the colours of the flecks and the base, while steel or holo silver accents match the hexagon lines. Placements on the flat side of the receiver keep the grid visible around them.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of Field-Tested look close to Well-Worn.
- Look at the carry handle and magazine edges in the inspect view, as these parts lose paint first.
- Pattern placement shifts the red flecks only slightly, so it rarely needs special attention on this skin.
- Check applied stickers and a name tag, which change the look and are not removed with the item.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-factory look in game.
- Buyers who prefer to save compared with Factory New without losing the clean grid.
- A sensible balance of appearance and cost.
