Show allAllSkin overview
Even in Battle-Scarred the SCAR-20 | Cyrex keeps its basic identity: a dark body with white and red high-tech accents. The light surfaces are heavily scraped and the red lines are partly gone, but the skin's wear range ends early, so even the most worn copies avoid the extreme damage seen on some other finishes.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver and handguard are painted dark gunmetal grey with panel lines, small markings and a thin red stripe along the side, while the barrel and top rail stay black. The lower receiver and magazine well carry a white panel with grey technical detailing, and the magazine and grip remain dark.
The white areas are heavily scraped and much of the scope tube shows exposed metal. The red accents survive only in pieces, and the receiver and stock edges are worn throughout. Because the wear range ends early, the finish never reaches the heaviest damage possible on other skins. In game the rifle reads as dark with faded light patches and traces of red.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.5
The whole float range of StatTrak™ SCAR-20 | Cyrex is 0–0.5; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.5 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Huntsman Collection with 20 skins in total.
The source is Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014).
StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 46% dearer than the regular one.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in red, white or black blend naturally with the Cyrex scheme, especially holo or foil variants with red highlights. Placing them on the dark receiver area above the white panel keeps the contrast clean, while the white lower section is best left uncovered so the design stays readable.
What to check before buying
- Check the float position within the wear grade, since the white panel and scope tube show wear first and differ noticeably between copies.
- Inspect the red stripe and scope ring, as broken red edges are the most visible sign of wear on this finish.
- On Souvenir copies, look at which stickers are applied and whether they match the black, white and red scheme.
- Check for a name tag or existing stickers that change how the rifle looks.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget players who want this Classified SCAR-20 finish at the lowest entry.
- Buyers who like the heavily scraped look, which here stops short of extreme damage.
- The most economical way to own the Cyrex scheme.
