Show allAllSkin overview
The Cyrex finish turns the SCAR-20 into a clean technical piece, with a dark body, a white lower section and red highlights on the scope and receiver. A Minimal Wear copy keeps the same look almost unchanged, with only faint marks that are hard to spot outside the inspect view.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The receiver and handguard are painted dark gunmetal grey with panel lines, small markings and a thin red stripe along the side, while the barrel and top rail stay black. The lower receiver and magazine well carry a white panel with grey technical detailing, and the magazine and grip remain dark.
Faint specks may appear on the edges of the white lower panel and on the scope tube. The red accents stay intact and the dark surfaces look untouched. At normal viewing distance it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. Copies with a lower float look cleaner still.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of StatTrak™ SCAR-20 | Cyrex is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Huntsman Collection with 20 skins in total.
It drops from Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014).
What it costs in each quality
Among 3 skins of the SCAR-20 in the Classified grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.
StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 2.5× dearer than the regular one.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in red, white or black blend naturally with the Cyrex scheme, especially holo or foil variants with red highlights. Placing them on the dark receiver area above the white panel keeps the contrast clean, while the white lower section is best left uncovered so the design stays readable.
What to check before buying
- Check the float position within the wear grade, since the white panel and scope tube show wear first and differ noticeably between copies.
- Inspect the red stripe and scope ring, as broken red edges are the most visible sign of wear on this finish.
- On Souvenir copies, look at which stickers are applied and whether they match the black, white and red scheme.
- Check for a name tag or existing stickers that change how the rifle looks.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-pristine look without paying for the top grade.
- Crafters who are fine with faint marks that stickers or distance hide anyway.
- A sensible compromise between condition and cost.
