Skin overview

The skin pairs a sand top half with olive green below and adds small rank insignia, so it reads like a service weapon rather than a showpiece. In Minimal Wear the colours and chevrons look practically the same as on a fresh copy, with only faint marks on the sharpest edges. It gives the clean look at a more relaxed grade.

Item type: smg. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The lower receiver, trigger group and folding stock are painted olive green, while the top of the upper receiver and the front end are a light sand tone. A white chevron stripe runs along the side near the front, a rank insignia sits on the pistol grip, and thin white stencil lines cross the receiver.

Small scuffs may appear on the sharpest edges, such as the top rail and the magazine base. The chevrons and stencils remain clear. At normal distance the gun looks the same as Factory New. The large olive and sand surfaces are still clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of UMP-45 | Corporal is 0.05–0.75; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Phoenix Collection with 13 skins in total.

It drops from Operation Phoenix Weapon Case (on sale since Feb 19, 2014).

What it costs in each quality

By price this skin is 10th of 17 skins Mil-Spec Grade UMP-45 in this quality (the first being the dearest).

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter. Right now it is 2.3× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Olive, khaki, sand and white stickers fit the military palette, and simple insignia-style or stencil designs suit the theme. The flat olive side of the receiver behind the chevrons is the most visible spot for a placement.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since low-float copies of a grade look noticeably cleaner on the top rail and magazine.
  • Look at the magazine edges and the top rail first, as these show chipping before anything else.
  • Check that the white chevrons and stencils are still readable if the military markings are what you like about the skin.
  • Look for applied stickers or a name tag and whether they match your plans for the gun.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a practically clean look without insisting on the top grade.
  • Sticker crafters who need a near-clean background.
  • Conclusion: the sensible clean option for everyday play.
