★ Bayonet | Scorched is a Covert knife with a smoky spray-paint finish. Soft charcoal, grey and off-white patches drift along the blade, like soot settling on steel. In Factory New the blurred transitions stay intact and the dark tones look deep, though the float range starts above zero, so even the cleanest copies sit close to Minimal Wear.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The blade is covered in soft spray-painted patches of charcoal, mid-grey and off-white that blend into each other without hard borders. Lighter areas gather near the spine and along the cutting edge, while darker smoky bands run through the middle and towards the tip, around the long fuller groove. The crossguard is plain grey steel, and the handle combines a dark black-grey base with olive-khaki segmented grip rings and a dark metal pommel. The placement of the patches can differ between copies. On worn copies the paint goes first from the cutting edge, the tip, the spine and the edges of the fuller, exposing bare steel.
The spray-paint layer is complete across the blade, and the soft gradients between grey, charcoal and white are unbroken. Because the range starts above zero, a close inspection may reveal the faintest traces at the very tip. In game the knife looks entirely fresh, with deep dark tones and clean light patches. The handle and guard look untouched.

What to look at before you buy
- Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, since the cutting edge and tip show the difference first.
- Compare inspect screenshots, because the placement of the dark and light patches varies between copies.
- Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, if either matters to you.
- On Field-Tested and more worn copies, check how much paint is left around the fuller and on the blade flat.
Who should buy Factory New
- Collectors who want the smoky gradients fully intact.
- Players who prefer a calm, muted knife that still looks fresh up close.
- A choice for those who value the cleanest possible state of this finish.
