Skin overview
★ Butterfly Knife | Crimson Web pairs a deep red blade, covered in a thin black spider web, with dark metal handles. In Factory New the red is even and saturated, and the web lines stay sharp across the whole blade. This is the cleanest state this finish can reach, and the narrow float window makes these copies harder to find.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The blade is coated in a deep red base with a black spider web hydrographic and a semi-gloss topcoat. The handles are dark grey metal with cut-outs and carry no pattern, and the small latch near the pivot is red. The web placement differs from copy to copy, so some blades show a clear web centre while others show only scattered lines. On worn copies the paint goes first along the cutting edge, the tip and the spine, revealing bare steel.
The red coat is intact over the whole blade, and the web lines are crisp. At most there are tiny marks at the very tip that are hard to spot even in inspect. In game the blade reads as a solid, glossy red with a sharp black web. The handles look clean and uniform.
Factory New quality — float range 0.06–0.07
The float of ★ Butterfly Knife | Crimson Web ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Factory New quality covers 0.06–0.07 — 1% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
It is the rare special item of Operation Breakout Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 23, 2014) — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to look at before you buy
- Check the web placement on the blade, since a clear, centred web is valued more than scattered lines.
- Compare the float within the wear range, because the lower end keeps more red on the edge and tip.
- Inspect the tip, cutting edge and spine, where bare steel shows first.
- Look for a name tag and the StatTrak™ counter if those matter to you.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors looking for the cleanest possible red and web.
- Buyers hunting for a good web placement in the top grade.
- The top choice for those who want the finish untouched.
