Skin overview

The forest pattern on this ★ Classic Knife | Boreal Forest relies on soft, muted greens and tans, which hide small flaws well. In Minimal Wear any marks stay as faint specks near the tip and edge that are hard to spot without inspecting the model. You get nearly the same look as the cleanest grade at a more sensible level.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The blade carries a forest camouflage hydrographic of olive, lime yellow-green, jade green and pale beige blotches, with soft-edged patches running from the guard to the tip. A thin light band follows the cutting edge, and the serrations near the base sit inside the pattern.

Light wear may appear as tiny specks at the very tip and in spots along the edge. The spine and the flat of the blade remain clean. The muted palette hides these marks, so at normal distance the knife looks the same as Factory New. The guard and handle are untouched.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of ★ Classic Knife | Boreal Forest is 0.06–0.8; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

It drops from CS20 Case as a rare special item.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since a low-float copy shows noticeably less wear on the tip and edge.
  • Look at the tip, cutting edge and spine on the inspect screenshot, as these lose paint first.
  • Compare pattern placement, because the camouflage patches fall differently on each copy and some show more of the bright lime and jade areas.
  • Note whether the knife has a name tag or StatTrak™ and whether that matters to you.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Owners who value appearance but accept tiny marks hidden by the muted palette.
  • In short: the balanced option for a clean-looking knife.
