Skin overview

This ★ Classic Knife | Boreal Forest keeps its recognisable green-and-tan palette, but in Well-Worn the pattern is broken up by clear patches of steel. The tip, the cutting edge and the spine show the most loss, while the middle of the blade still holds most of the camouflage. It gives a used field-knife look that many players like on a camo finish.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The blade carries a forest camouflage hydrographic of olive, lime yellow-green, jade green and pale beige blotches, with soft-edged patches running from the guard to the tip. A thin light band follows the cutting edge, and the serrations near the base sit inside the pattern.

Bare metal covers the tip and runs along most of the cutting edge and the spine. The flat of the blade has scattered scratches that break up the patches, especially near the front. The middle and the area by the guard still hold much of the pattern. The guard and handle remain clean in colour.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of ★ Classic Knife | Boreal Forest is 0.06–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

It is the rare special item of CS20 Case — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What it costs in each quality

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since a low-float copy shows noticeably less wear on the tip and edge.
  • Look at the tip, cutting edge and spine on the inspect screenshot, as these lose paint first.
  • Compare pattern placement, because the camouflage patches fall differently on each copy and some show more of the bright lime and jade areas.
  • Note whether the knife has a name tag or StatTrak™ and whether that matters to you.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Players who like a used field-knife look on their camo.
  • Budget-minded buyers who still want a good share of the pattern.
  • In short: character and savings in one grade.
