Skin overview

β˜… Driver Gloves | Plum Quill are purple leather driving gloves with a raised dot texture across the back of the hand and perforated fingers. In Factory New the plum tone stays even and saturated, and every bump on the back catches light cleanly. The lavender mesh panel between the fingers keeps its fine honeycomb detail.

Item type: gloves. Extraordinary is the gloves rarity: in cases they are the rare special item, above any weapon skin.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The back of each glove is covered in plum leather with a grid of raised dots, a texture that resembles quill-marked hide. The fingers are smoother and perforated with small holes, and darker purple seams outline the panels. The palm side carries a lavender mesh insert with a fine honeycomb pattern, visible between the fingers. The cuff is a darker plum band that frames the opening. On worn copies the knuckles, fingertips and cuff edges lose colour first, followed by the raised dots on the back, which darken and flatten.

The float range of this skin starts above zero, so Factory New copies sit in a narrow band and all look very similar. The leather is uniform plum with no rubbing on the knuckles or fingertips. The dotted back, perforations and the honeycomb mesh are fully crisp. In game the gloves read as a clean, saturated purple.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The whole float range of β˜… Driver Gloves | Plum Quill is 0.06–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (1% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

It is the rare special item of Sealed Dead Hand Terminal β€” knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What it costs in each quality

Among 20 skins of the Driver Gloves in the Extraordinary grade and this quality, this skin ranks 16th by price, counting from the dearest.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since knuckles and fingertips show wear first and the difference is visible in close inspection.
  • Look at the back of the hand on the inspect view to see whether the raised dots are still crisp or already darkened.
  • Compare the cuff edge and the palm mesh, as these show whether a copy looks evenly coloured or patchy.
  • Inspect the gloves in game on a few different weapons, because the purple tone reads differently next to bright and dark weapon skins.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the cleanest possible copy with an even plum tone.
  • Players who inspect their gloves often and notice every scuff on the knuckles.
  • The top grade for anyone who values a flawless purple finish.
