Skin overview

These gloves are recognisable by their deep purple leather, dotted back panel and perforated fingers with a pale mesh insert. In Field-Tested the leather picks up visible scuffs and a softer, slightly faded tone on the most handled areas. The dot texture still shapes the look, so the skin keeps its character at normal viewing distance.

Item type: gloves. Extraordinary is the gloves rarity: in cases they are the rare special item, above any weapon skin.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The back of each glove is covered in plum leather with a grid of raised dots, a texture that resembles quill-marked hide. The fingers are smoother and perforated with small holes, and darker purple seams outline the panels.

Scuffs become visible on the knuckles, fingertips and cuff, and the plum tone fades in patches on the back of the hand. Some raised dots start to look darker and less defined. The palm mesh and the middle of the fingers still hold their colour well. In game the gloves read as purple leather with honest signs of use.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of β˜… Driver Gloves | Plum Quill ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 β€” 31% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

It is the rare special item of Sealed Dead Hand Terminal β€” knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

Price by quality

Among 20 skins of the Driver Gloves in the Extraordinary grade and this quality, this skin ranks 14th by price, counting from the dearest.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since knuckles and fingertips show wear first and the difference is visible in close inspection.
  • Look at the back of the hand on the inspect view to see whether the raised dots are still crisp or already darkened.
  • Compare the cuff edge and the palm mesh, as these show whether a copy looks evenly coloured or patchy.
  • Inspect the gloves in game on a few different weapons, because the purple tone reads differently next to bright and dark weapon skins.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the colour and texture on their hands at a lower cost than the clean grades.
  • Buyers who do not mind light scuffs that are hard to see during a match.
  • A balanced option for daily play.
