The pivot screw and fittings sit in the same dark steel, while the grip remains olive with diagonal grooves and a fine texture. On worn copies the bluing first lightens along the cutting edge, the tip and the serrations, then spreads into grey patches over the flat of the blade.

The bluing is even and deep along the whole blade. The edge, tip and serrations match the rest of the steel. In game the knife reads as a clean dark blade with a cool blue sheen. The olive grip looks crisp.
