★ StatTrak™ Flip Knife | Stained (Battle-Scarred)

Skin overview

Stained turns the Flip Knife blade into stained, uneven grey steel, and in Battle-Scarred that effect becomes rough and heavily scratched. The pattern is softer and more washed out, yet the blade keeps its dark, aged tone. It is the most affordable way into this knife and finish.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The whole blade is covered in a forced patina: grey and blue-grey steel with darker cloudy blotches and streaks spread unevenly from the base to the acute point. The serrated section near the pivot carries the same mottled finish, which makes the teeth look darker and more textured.

The whole blade is heavily scratched, with the strongest wear on the edge, tip and serrations. The patina pattern is soft and partly washed out. At normal distance the knife reads as rough, battered grey steel. Only the handle keeps its original look.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Flip Knife | Stained ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

• Check the float position within the wear grade, since copies near the top of a range look cleaner.
• Look at the placement of the dark blotches, as the pattern differs from copy to copy and some layouts look darker or more balanced.
• Inspect the tip, cutting edge and serrations, where wear appears first.
• Make sure a name tag, if present, suits your taste.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

• Budget entry for those who want this knife in the inventory.
• Players who prefer a heavily battered steel look.
• Conclusion: the cheapest way to own this knife and finish.
