Skin overview

The finish is a cool blue camo in three tones, laid over the Persian-style blade, with a matching blue grip. In Minimal Wear the pattern still reads as clean, and any marks are small spots near the tip or edge that are hard to notice in hand. It keeps the look of a fresh copy at a lower grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The back-swept blade is covered in a hydrographic camo of irregular blotches in navy, mid-blue and pale grey-blue, running from the guard to the acute point. The serrated section of the spine near the handle and the cutting edge show a thin line of polished steel.

Small specks of steel may appear at the very tip or along the cutting edge, more often on higher floats. The flat of the blade and the handle remain clean. At normal viewing distance in game the difference from Factory New is barely visible. The pattern contrast is unchanged.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of ★ Flip Knife | Bright Water is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the top of a grade show more steel on the edge and tip.
  • Look at the tip and serrations in the inspect view, as these lose paint first.
  • Hydrographic placement varies, so compare how the pale and dark patches fall on the blade.
  • Note whether there is a name tag or StatTrak™ counter and whether you want it.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Buyers who rarely inspect the tip closely.
  • Conclusion: a balanced choice between look and cost.
