★ Huntsman Knife | Safari Mesh (Factory New)

Skin overview

★ Huntsman Knife | Safari Mesh covers the Tanto-point blade in a muted khaki and sage spray-paint, laid through mesh fencing so a pale net pattern runs along the steel. In Factory New the mesh lines are crisp and the colour sits evenly from guard to tip. The dark ribbed handle stays unpainted and frames the soft camouflage.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The blade is sprayed in pale khaki and sage tones with a lighter net pattern stencilled across it from mesh fencing, while brighter silvery patches sit along the edge and the spine. The serrated spine teeth, the swept belly and the angular Tanto point all carry the same camouflage. The guard with its lower hook is painted in matching muted green, and the grip stays a dark ribbed black with finger grooves and metal pins. On worn copies the paint goes first at the tip, the cutting edge and the spine teeth, then spreads across the flat of the blade towards the guard.

The paint is intact over the whole blade, the guard and the spine teeth. The mesh lines are sharp, and the pale areas near the edge are part of the design rather than damage. In game the knife looks clean and evenly coloured. The factory-new band is very narrow for this skin, since the float range starts close to its upper edge.

Factory New quality — float range 0.06–0.07

The whole float range of ★ Huntsman Knife | Safari Mesh is 0.06–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (1% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

It is the rare special item of Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014) — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to check before buying

• Check the float position within the grade, since in the middle grades it decides how much bare metal shows along the edge.
• Look at the tip and the spine teeth on the inspect screen, as these are the first places to lose paint.
• Compare the amount of mesh left near the guard on worn copies, because that area carries the remaining camouflage.
• Check whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it has a name tag, as both are visible in game.

Who the Factory New quality suits

• Collectors who want the camouflage fully intact on every part of the blade.
• Players who prefer a clean, even finish on the inspect animation.
• The cleanest version of a quiet finish, for those who value condition over flash.
