Skin overview

In Well-Worn the khaki paint gives way to bright steel over a large part of the cutting side, and the knife takes on a used, working-tool look. The net pattern survives mainly on the middle of the blade near the guard. The black handle and the silhouette of the Tanto point keep the knife easy to recognise.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The blade is sprayed in pale khaki and sage tones with a lighter net pattern stencilled across it from mesh fencing, while brighter silvery patches sit along the edge and the spine. The serrated spine teeth, the swept belly and the angular Tanto point all carry the same camouflage.

Wear covers a large part of the cutting side and the front of the blade, and the spine teeth are mostly bare. The mesh holds on the area near the guard and on the guard itself, though it looks faded. In game the blade reads as steel with patches of green-khaki. The handle is unaffected, as it carries no paint.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of ★ Huntsman Knife | Safari Mesh is 0.06–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

It drops from Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014) as a rare special item.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the grade, since in the middle grades it decides how much bare metal shows along the edge.
  • Look at the tip and the spine teeth on the inspect screen, as these are the first places to lose paint.
  • Compare the amount of mesh left near the guard on worn copies, because that area carries the remaining camouflage.
  • Check whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it has a name tag, as both are visible in game.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Buyers who want the Huntsman shape and animations and accept heavier wear.
  • Fans of a worn working-tool look with steel showing through.
  • A budget step up from Battle-Scarred with more camouflage left.
