Skin overview

This Karambit is recognised by its bright steel blade and finger ring clouded with uneven grey-blue stains, paired with a dark textured grip. In Minimal Wear the polish and the patina look almost the same as on a fresh copy, and tiny marks are hard to spot during play. It keeps the clean look at a lower grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The curved blade is bare polished steel covered with an irregular patina of smoky grey and pale blue blotches, denser along the spine and lighter toward the edge. The finger ring carries the same stained steel finish, while the grip is a dark grey textured handle with deep finger grooves and serrations along the back.

Faint marks may appear near the tip and along the cutting edge, visible only on close inspection. The flat of the blade and the ring keep their polish, and the stains look unchanged. At normal distance it is practically indistinguishable from a Factory New copy.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the inspect view, because the placement and density of the stains differ from copy to copy.
  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, as a low float keeps more shine on the blade.
  • Examine the tip, the cutting edge and the ring, since they lose polish first.
  • Decide whether a StatTrak™ version or a name tag matters to you before comparing offers.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a nearly clean blade without paying for the top grade.
  • Buyers who rarely inspect the knife up close.
  • A sensible balance between appearance and cost.
