★ Kukri Knife | Stained puts a forced patina of cool grey and steel-blue blotches across the curved blade, set against a dark ribbed handle. In Factory New the patina is complete from spine to edge, and every outlined blotch reads sharply. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the stained metal intact.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The finish covers the curved blade with a forced patina: a pale steel base with irregular grey and steel-blue blotches, each with a darker outline. Near the cutting edge the metal looks lighter and more polished, while the flat and the notched spine carry the densest staining. The guard, the hole near the spine and the ribbed rubber-like grip stay in dark grey and black tones without the pattern. Blotch placement differs between copies, so some knives show more staining towards the tip and others near the guard. On worn copies the patina goes first at the tip, along the cutting edge and on the spine notches, revealing bright bare steel.

The patina is complete across the blade, and the blotch outlines are crisp. The tip, edge and spine notches keep their staining. In game the blade shows an even mottled grey-blue surface on inspect. The dark grip looks the same as in every grade.
