Skin overview

The Kukri Knife here carries a mottled grey-blue patina that looks deliberately uneven, like metal treated by hand. In Minimal Wear any loss is limited to tiny spots near the tip and edge, which blend into the blotchy surface. In hand it looks almost the same as a clean copy for less.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The finish covers the curved blade with a forced patina: a pale steel base with irregular grey and steel-blue blotches, each with a darker outline. Near the cutting edge the metal looks lighter and more polished, while the flat and the notched spine carry the densest staining.

Small light marks may appear at the very tip and in spots along the cutting edge. The flat and spine remain fully stained. At normal distance the marks merge with the blotchy pattern and are hard to tell from Factory New. The guard and grip look untouched.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of ★ Kukri Knife | Stained ranges from 0 to 1; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 8% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float keeps more patina on the tip and edge.
  • Look at blotch placement on inspect, as copies differ in where the staining gathers.
  • Inspect the tip, cutting edge and spine notches, which lose the patina first.
  • Check whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it has a name tag.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Buyers who want a near-clean look without paying for Factory New.
  • Players for whom tiny marks at the tip do not matter.
  • A sensible balance of look and cost.
