Skin overview
This is the M9 Bayonet in forest camouflage, recognisable by the green and olive blotches and the long serrated spine. Battle-Scarred is the most affordable way into the knife: the camo survives mostly in the middle of the blade and on the grip, while edges and raised parts show heavy bare metal. It keeps the full M9 Bayonet model and animations, which is what most buyers of this grade are after.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The blade is covered with a hydrographic forest camouflage of olive, khaki, light green and teal blotches, running from the tip across the fuller hole and up to the serrated spine. A darker grey band follows the cutting edge, framing the camo along the lower line of the blade.
Large parts of the blade are scraped to metal, especially toward the tip and along both edges, leaving the camo as broken patches. The ring, guard edges, grip ridges and pommel are heavily worn. In game the knife reads as grey steel with scattered green spots rather than a full camouflage. Only the centre of the blade and the deeper parts of the grip keep solid paint.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8
The whole float range of ★ M9 Bayonet | Boreal Forest is 0.06–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (47% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying
- Look at the float within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show visibly less steel on the tip and edge.
- Inspect the tip, the cutting edge and the spine teeth first, because that is where this hydrographic finish loses paint before anything else.
- Check the muzzle ring and the grip ridges on worn copies, as chips there are visible in the inspect animation.
- Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, as both change the item you are buying.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players who mainly want the M9 Bayonet model and animations.
- Budget entry into knives for those not concerned about bare steel.
- The cheapest way to carry this knife, with the look of heavy use.
