Skin overview
This ★ M9 Bayonet carries a forest camouflage of olive, sand and bright green patches, a finish meant to look used rather than polished. In Field-Tested the first silver scratches appear along the edge, the serrations and the tip, which sits naturally with the rugged camo. The overall green-and-khaki look stays clear on the screen.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The blade is covered with a hydrographic forest camouflage of olive, khaki, light green and teal blotches, running from the tip across the fuller hole and up to the serrated spine. A darker grey band follows the cutting edge, framing the camo along the lower line of the blade.
Silver scratches show along the cutting edge, around the tip and on the serrations, and small chips may start on the muzzle ring. The camo on the centre of the blade and most of the grip is still solid. At normal distance the knife keeps its green-and-khaki look, with the wear reading as light scuffing. The guard and the flat of the blade stay largely clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of ★ M9 Bayonet | Boreal Forest is 0.06–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show visibly less steel on the tip and edge.
- Inspect the tip, the cutting edge and the spine teeth first, because that is where this hydrographic finish loses paint before anything else.
- Check the muzzle ring and the grip ridges on worn copies, as chips there are visible in the inspect animation.
- Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, as both change the item you are buying.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who like light edge wear, which fits a military camo.
- Buyers who want the M9 Bayonet with a solid look at a lower grade.
- The practical everyday choice for this skin.
