Skin overview

Battle-Scarred turns the Crimson Web into a rough, heavily scraped finish. Large areas of bare steel break up the red, and the web is only partly visible in the remaining paint. It suits players who want the Skeleton Knife shape and the red theme with a worn, used character.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The double-edged blade is painted in deep red with a black spider web hydrographic running across both faces, finished with a semi-gloss topcoat. The narrow ground edges along the blade show a thin line of steel, and the row of small holes on the blade is outlined by the red paint.

Large areas of the blade, ring and pommel show bare steel, and the red paint remains as broken patches. Only parts of the web are visible inside those patches. At normal distance the knife reads as a scraped metal blade with red accents. The tape on the handle is the cleanest-looking part of the knife.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of ★ Skeleton Knife | Crimson Web is 0.06–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (47% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the web placement on the blade, since each copy has its own pattern and the number and position of webs change the look.
  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, as copies at the cleaner end look noticeably better in mid and worn grades.
  • Inspect the tip, the cutting edges and the rim of the finger ring, which lose paint first.
  • Check whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, if that matters to you.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players who mainly want the Skeleton Knife model at the lowest entry.
  • Fans of a rough, scraped look with red accents.
  • Conclusion: an entry option for the shape and character rather than the clean pattern.
