Skin overview

Damascus Steel gives the Skeleton Knife a plain metal finish built on grey wave lines rather than bright colour. In Well-Worn the blade looks duller and more uneven, which some players see as a used, working-tool look.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The narrow double-edged blade is covered in a flowing damascus pattern of light and dark grey wave lines, with a brighter polished bevel running along its length beside a row of small holes. The pattern continues onto the guard and the large finger ring, which keeps the same silver tone.

The tip, edges and ring show clear dulling and scratches, and the wear begins to reach further into the blade. The contrast of the pattern is softer and the polished bevel looks matte in places. In game the knife reads as darker, used steel. The grip tape still looks mostly the same.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The float of ★ Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel ranges from 0 to 0.5; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 14% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner end keep more shine on the bevel.
  • Look at the layout of the damascus swirls in inspect, as some blades show a calmer or busier pattern.
  • Inspect the tip, cutting edges and finger ring, which lose shine first.
  • Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ or carries a name tag if that matters to you.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Budget-minded players looking for an entry into the Skeleton Knife.
  • Those who like a duller, used-steel look.
  • Conclusion: a practical pick if the shape of the knife matters more than shine.
