Skin overview

This Butterfly Knife carries a muted forest DDPAT, a woodland pixel pattern meant to blend rather than stand out. Its earthy palette pairs with dark handles and green handle inlays. Minimal Wear copies keep the pattern almost whole, with only faint marks near the tip.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The blade is covered in a digital disruptive pattern of tan, khaki, olive and dark green pixels applied as a hydrographic. The pattern runs over the whole blade, including the swept tip and the area near the pivot.

Small scratches may appear at the very tip and along the cutting edge. The rest of the blade looks practically untouched. At normal distance it is hard to tell apart from Factory New.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Forest DDPAT ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

It drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 23, 2014) as a rare special item.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the cutting edge and tip in the inspect screenshot, since they lose paint first.
  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, as low-float copies of a grade look noticeably cleaner.
  • The Factory New range is narrow for this skin, so compare it with low Minimal Wear before paying more.
  • Check for a name tag and StatTrak™ if they matter to you.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look without the narrow top grade.
  • Buyers looking for a sensible balance of condition and cost.
  • A practical middle ground for daily play.
